Yesterday morning I decided to take a stroll down to the Marina and watch everyone doing their Dolphin Discovery. I could sit and watch them all day – they just make me smile.
I was chuckling to myself as I was watching them because I was thinking about my sister (my technology challenged sister) and a comment she made last weekend. It’s been so good spending time with Nancy and Barry as we try to make up for all the years we lost when we were not talking to each other. Awhile ago I told Nancy about some of the things on my bucket list – of course she had no idea what that was so I explained it to her. As she was leaving my house last weekend she noticed a magazine about Africa that was sitting on my dining room table. “Is that on your photo list?” she asked. I looked at her like she had 2 heads – “My what” – “you know that thing you want to do before you die”. Laughing hysterically I said “You mean my bucket list!!!” – that’s the one. Yes going to Africa and being face to face with the gorillas is very high on my bucket list.
I had told Nancy that swimming with the Dolphins was something on my bucket list that I have already done. I also told her she should put it on her bucket list. She told me I was crazy. Okay – explain this one to me …how does someone go out and hunt wild animals, including trying to shoot a moose with a bow and arrow (okay I’m hunting challenged so I don’t know if I’m using the right terminology here) and that be terrified of fish – I’m talking minnows here LOL.
So next year Nancy and Barry want to come to Mexico with us (she is already counting down the days) and I have added a new item to my bucket list….Nancy my “photo list” now includes getting you in to swim with the dolphins.
As I sit here listening to the ocean waves and deciding whether to sit by the pool or the ocean, I sign off for the day
